Focused On Concealed Carry
Holosun’s X2 Series includes a handful of offerings that are designed for use with concealed carry pistols, and it features two critical improvements that make these models ideal for this assignment. The first is the addition of Lock Mode, which locks the function buttons to prevent accidental changes to the sight’s settings. The second update is the placement of the buttons themselves. Function Comes With Form
The HE507C-GR X2-04 is designed for deployment on pistols. Its green Multiple Reticle System includes both a 2 MOA dot and 32 MOA circle reticle and it is protected in a 7075 T6 aluminum housing. Super LED technology enables adjustment of the reticle’s intensity to suit all environments from the brightest to no-light environments.
The user-friendly Shake Awake feature eliminates the need to manually protect battery life with an automatic Sleep Mode that can be programmed. Likewise, the unit’s on-board motion sensor will activate the LED when it senses the slightest movement. A CR1632 lithium battery is included with the device and has a life of approximately 50,000 hours.
The popular Solar Failsafe Technology allows the sight to remain powered even after the battery fails. This feature automatically adjusts brightness whether you’re operating in sunlit or indoor environments.
The HE507K-GR X2 model shares Holosun’s Shake Awake, Multiple Reticle System, Super LED and Multilayer Reflective Glass Technologies. Being slightly smaller, the HE507K-GR X2 is specifically designed for CCW applications.
Construction
The optical glass is manufactured with multilayer coatings that allow maximum light transmission and wear resistance while also reducing glare. Holosun’s 7075 T6 aluminum housings feature a durable anodized finish.
The 1.78 x 1.15x x 1.15-inch HE507C-GR X2 weighs 1.5 ounces while the lower profile HE507K-GR X2 measures up at just 1.60 x 0.98 x 0.95 inches and 1 ounce, making these models almost unnoticeable, with no real effect on balance.
