Function Comes With Form
The HE509T is designed for deployment on pistols. Its green Multiple Reticle System includes both a 2 MOA dot and 32 MOA circle reticle and it is protected in a titanium housing. Super LED technology enables adjustment of the reticle’s intensity to suit all environments from the brightest to the darkest.
The user-friendly Shake Awake feature eliminates the need to manually protect battery life with an automatic Sleep Mode that can be programmed with four options. Likewise, the unit’s on-board motion sensor will activate the LED when it senses the slightest movement. A CR1632 lithium battery is included with the device and has a life of approximately 50,000 hours.
The HE509T also benefits from Holosun’s Solar Failsafe Technology which uses a solar cell to enable the unit to run even when the battery fails. In addition, the brightness of the reticle is automatically adjusted as you move through different lighting environments.
Construction
The optical glass is manufactured with multilayer coatings that allow maximum light transmission and wear resistance while also reducing glare. Holosun’s Grade 5 Titanium housing has up to twice the tensile strength and five times the fatigue strength of 7075 aluminum and it is also unaffected by seawater.
The low profile and light weight of the HE509T are almost unnoticeable, having no real effect on balance. At just 1.6 x 1.16 x 1.13 inches and 1.72 ounces, you won’t know it’s there until it’s time to use it.
